Mechanism 6:
Universal Compatibility.

Most nanocarbon dispersions are optimized for one polymer system — and perform unpredictably in others. Flexiphene™ is a platform technology: the surfactant-free, high-functional-content Flexiphene™ integrates into thermoplastics, thermosets, elastomers, and coatings without requiring changes to your existing process chemistry. If you can add a liquid to your process, you can add Flexiphene™.

Validated Across Polymer Families

Flexiphene™'s Flexiphene™ works across all major polymer classes. The functional groups on the nanocarbon component interact favorably with both polar and nonpolar matrices; the surfactant-free surface avoids the compatibility issues caused by surfactant selection mismatch in specific polymer systems.

Works With Your Existing Process

Flexiphene™ ships as a ready-to-use liquid dispersion. No powder handling. No special equipment. No process overhaul required. It integrates into the processing step that makes the most sense for your system.

Melt Compounding

For thermoplastics: add Flexiphene™ dispersion as a liquid feed during twin-screw extrusion, or pre-mix with polymer pellets before compounding. The liquid evaporates during processing; nanocarbon integrates into the polymer melt.

Solution Mixing

For solution-cast films and coatings: add Flexiphene™ to the polymer solution before casting. Homogeneous mixing is straightforward due to the stable liquid dispersion format.

Resin Infusion

For thermoset composites: add Flexiphene™ to the base resin before mixing with hardener. Compatible with VARTM, RTM, and manual infusion processes. Viscosity impact is minimal at 1 wt.%.

Wet Layup

For hand layup composites: pre-mix with the resin component. Nanocarbon disperses throughout the matrix during layup without requiring modifications to layup tooling or procedures.

Coating Application

For films and coatings: add Flexiphene™ to the coating formulation before application. Compatible with spray, spin, dip, and draw-down coating methods. Film properties controlled by dispersion concentration and deposition parameters.

Buckypaper Filtration

For standalone nanocarbon films: filter through membrane to form buckypaper. The surfactant-free dispersion produces papers with higher conductivity and cleaner surfaces than surfactant-based alternatives without a washing step.
